Lagos State University (LASU) Consult Limited and GTP Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the development and delivery of professional certificate courses in Emotional Intelligence and Social Awareness.
The signing ceremony is taking place today, September 16, 2026, at the Lagos State University (LASU) Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, bringing together representatives of the university and GTP Academy.
The agreement was formally signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi I. Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, and the Group Managing Director/Chief Consultant of GTP Academy, Dr. Segun Musa, FNIIA.
The partnership is aimed at creating opportunities for participants to acquire practical knowledge and professional competencies in emotional intelligence and social awareness—skills considered relevant to effective leadership, workplace relationships, communication and personal development.
The collaboration between LASU Consult Limited and GTP Academy is expected to facilitate structured certificate programmes that combine academic expertise with practical professional experience.
Speaking at the ceremony, the presence of the LASU Vice-Chancellor and the GTP Academy Group MD/Chief Consultant underscored the importance attached to the partnership and its potential contribution to human capital development.
The signing marks another step towards strengthening collaboration between the academic and professional sectors, while providing learners and professionals with additional opportunities for skills development and continuous learning.
