
The newly Elected Executive Council (EXCOS) of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Seme Chapter, on Wednesday, 26th August 2026, held its first official executive meeting.
The meeting brought together members of the new executive council to deliberate on the way forward for the association and set a clear direction for effective administration, unity, discipline and improved service to members.

The newly Elected EXCOS are led by Mazi Egbuchunem Tobias Chekwube, Chairman, NAGAFF Seme Chapter. Other members include Fwdr. Austin Okeke, Vice Chairman; Fwdr. Okoye Amobi Alexander, Secretary; Fwdr. Okoye Kenneth, Public Relations Officer; Fwdr. Michael Oguaju, Customs Forwarder Relations Officer; Fwdr. Chinedu Okeke, Treasurer; Fwdr. Ijeoma Chukwumaeze, Welfare Officer; Fwdr. Paul Ebere Nduka, Ethics, Compliance and Disciplinary Officer; Fwdr. Okenwa Afuekwe, Presidential Liaison Officer (PLO); and Fwdr. Princess Ifeoma Chukwuletem, Inspectorate and Intelligence Officer.
Addressing the executives during the meeting, the Chairman, Mazi Egbuchunem Tobias Chekwube, charged members of the council to take their responsibilities seriously and work together in the interest of NAGAFF Seme Chapter.

He particularly warned against lateness, stressing that punctuality is key to achieving greatness. He urged all the executives to cultivate the habit of keeping to time, describing punctuality as an important quality required for effective leadership.

The Chairman also appealed to the EXCOS to rule and carry out their duties with respect, unity and understanding, emphasizing that leadership should be based on cooperation rather than personal interests.
He further directed all members of the Executive Council to report to the secretariat at least three times every week, noting that regular presence at the secretariat would help improve coordination, communication and effective service delivery.
The Chairman assured members that the new administration would work collectively to promote the welfare and professional interests of freight forwarders operating under the Seme Chapter.
The first EXCOS meeting therefore marked an important beginning for the new administration, with the leadership expressing its determination to work as a team, uphold discipline and ensure that the objectives of NAGAFF Seme Chapter are achieved.
Stakeholders and members of the chapter are expected to look forward to a new era of active leadership, accountability, professionalism and improved representation under the newly elected executive council.
