The event, themed “Strengthening Our Party Through Membership Registration and Grassroots Mobilisation,” brought together party leaders, youth stakeholders, members, supporters and invited guests to promote active political participation among young people and strengthen the grassroots structure of the party.

Speaking during an interview with Dream Newslink, the Principal Coordinator (PC), Hon. Oluwabunmi Akapo, emphasized that the programme was aimed at educating youths on the importance of obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), registering as party members, and actively participating in the democratic process.

According to Hon. Akapo, the future of any political party depends on the commitment and active involvement of its youths. He stressed that voter registration and grassroots mobilisation remain the foundation for building a stronger and more united political movement capable of delivering good governance.

He also noted that the inauguration of the newly appointed executives marked the beginning of a new chapter for the organization, expressing confidence that the new leadership would work tirelessly to mobilize more youths, promote unity, and advance the vision of the KOH/DSJ political family across the Badagry Division.

The award presentation segment of the programme recognized individuals whose dedication and selfless service have contributed significantly to youth empowerment, community development, and the growth of the organization. The recipients were commended for their outstanding commitment and encouraged to continue inspiring others through exemplary leadership.

The event featured goodwill messages from party leaders, interactive sessions on voter education, membership registration awareness, and renewed commitments by participants to deepen grassroots engagement ahead of future political activities.

Hon. Akapo concluded by urging all eligible Nigerians, particularly young people, to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, participate actively in party activities, and remain committed to peaceful, issue-based politics that will foster sustainable development and strengthen democracy.

The programme ended on a note of unity and optimism, with participants reaffirming the Youth Likeminds’ slogan:

“Together We Build. Together We Win.”
