James Omotosho of the Federal High Court on Wednesday sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to a total of 75 years imprisonment in connection with corruption allegations related to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.
The court found Mamman guilty on a 12-count charge, with the sentences ordered to run consecutively.
Justice Omotosho also directed that the sentence would take effect from the date of his arrest and instructed security agencies to take the former minister into custody wherever he may be found.
In addition, the court ordered that all recovered funds and properties linked to the case be forfeited to the Federal Government and directed Mamman to refund the outstanding balance of the alleged N22 billion connected to the projects.
